Relationship to REI
REI is the terminal and datasets. The Rare Earths Trader is the publication. They complement each other but are priced separately.
What is REI Take?

REI Take is the interpretation layer. It translates public announcements and datasets into a decision-grade view of reality: commissioning risk, partner credibility, qualification timelines, feedstock security, and which projects have a plausible path through the separation bottleneck. Every tracked facility and upstream project has an REI Take written and updated as new evidence emerges.

What are REI and FSI scores?

REI scores measure the credibility and operational maturity of each asset on a 0–100 scale across five dimensions: separation, feedstock, capital, execution, and strategic importance. FSI (Facility Strategic Importance) scores measure how critical each node would be to the Western supply chain if built, also on a 0–100 scale. Together they answer two questions: how real is this asset, and how much does the Western supply chain need it?

How does founding member pricing work?

The first 100 subscribers who sign up lock in $149/month permanently — the rate never increases as long as the subscription remains active. Once 100 founding members are confirmed, new subscribers pay the standard rate of $249/month. There is no time limit on the founding offer beyond the 100 seat cap.

How is REI different from Wood Mackenzie or Benchmark?

Broader platforms cover many commodities and geographies at surface depth. REI covers one supply chain — rare earths from mine to magnet — at investment-grade depth. Every node is scored, evidence-logged, and interpreted specifically for separation access, financing credibility, and Western supply chain relevance. It is a specialist terminal, not a generalist database.
